This week marks one full year of Mappy Hour.

March 10 2014

March 10th: We launched Mappy Hour and our Indiegogo Video for the summer festival at Fjallraven. A mention in the New York Times City Room Blog really kicked things off and the event filled to capacity. We were so excited about Mappy Hour, we had a second one in March at Icebreaker Soho. This time EcoCult put us on the list of "Eco-friendly and Cool things to do in NYC."

June 2 2014

Our official OutdoorFest Mappy Hour took over the classic Brooklyn Rod & Gun Club in Williamsburg. We were graced with the presence of famous instagramer Mike Gutkin and did outdoor trivia with Appalachian Mountain Club of NY & NJ.

2014 continued

We had an awesome Mappy Hour every month with highlights including:

- Well & Good came to Mappy Hour to find out who the most adventurous New Yorkers were

- Two people realizing they had been at the McMurdo Research Station in Antarctica around the same time

-Mappy Hour aboard a historic steamer docked in the NYC Harbor

-Presentations from a cyclist, a cartographer, a naturalist, and a sailor.

January 2015

January 22nd We had the opportunity to bring Mappy Hour to Outdoor Retailer, the outdoor industry's bi-annual trade show. We ran Mappy Hour in a space called Venture Out which was full of other new brands that specifically connected the urban + outdoors.

January 29th We launched Mappy Hour in Washington D.C. with 140 people from the area. The Wilderness Society just happened to be having a happy hour at the same time. Our conclusion? Mappy Hour DC was meant to be.

March 10th 2015:

We celebrated our one year anniversary with all of our speakers and multiple people who had been at the very first Mappy Hour. And we also opened the champagne with an axe

We can't wait for Mappy Hour Year 2!
