You Are What You Wear | #VolunteerFest by Loomstate
You are what you wear... or in the case of Loomstate, what you wear helps define what you stand for.
That's why we couldn't be prouder to have the team outfitted in Loomstate's beautiful, sustainable and organic cotton tees for this summer's OutdoorFest.
From climbing to slacklining to paddling we felt (and looked) good wearing these soft cotton tees:
Creating a community means a lot of different things. One of those is giving back directly - and during OutdoorFest we had hundreds of people skipping a day out hiking or kayaking to volunteer with local organizations.
Spearheaded by Loomstate, the VolunteerFest campaign helped connect volunteers to local initiatives for a more sustainable New York City. On Instagram, the #VolunteerFest tag helped rally the troops and spread the word about the various initiatives:
Whether through a beach cleanup in the Rockaways or building a Citizen BioSwale on the Lower East Side, Loomstate was the driving force behind getting hundreds of people engaged in the less "sexy" side of the outdoors: cleaning up trash and digging to help alleviate sewage overflow.
It's rare these days to see companies who aren't just using the word "sustainable" to boost sales, but really believe in it as the raison d'être of their entire apparel creation.
Thank you Loomstate and all of the volunteers who participated in the various initiatives throughout New York. Our city is better because of you.
