Celebrate National Learn to Row Day with Row NY at the Peter Jay Sharp Boathouse!
The day kicks off with the inaugural Heroes Row the Harlem race with local police officers and firefighters – cheer for your favorite! Read about their training here.
The race is followed by on-land rowing lessons for all. No experience in rowing is necessary to participate! On water rowing is available for a fee but all OutdoorFest participants get 10% off by registering online with the code: OutdoorFest2014.
Participants should wear athletic clothes. Bring your own picnic lunch or purchase from Row New York here.
Schedule: At 11 am welcome the heroes to the event. They launch at 11:30 am and race at noon. Lessons, activities, and games will be ongoing throughout the afternoon.
Directions: Dyckman/10th Avenue and walk south along the bike path to the boathouse.
