Year in Review 2016
Another year in the books and so much has happened, thanks to ALL of you who got there and tried a new sport, shared your beta, helped clean up a beach and on and on. Here's a brief recap of our favorite 2016 moments:
February 2016
CORE Conference bringing together the leaders of the outdoor industry in NYC to discuss, plan, and connect around issues and opportunities for more outdoor recreation in our city.
March 2016
Mappy Hour goes to SXSW! We were given a chance to show off Mappy Hour to almost 100 attendees of the famous South By Southwest conference in Austin.
April 2016
We worked with the Brooklyn Boulders Foundation to bring the second iteration of I AM ADAPTIVE an adaptive-style climbing competition for everyone (including a few pro-athletes!)
April - June, 2016
Pop Up Mappy Hours take over the country with events in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston, Santa Fe, D.C. New York City, Calgary, San Diego, and Austin.
June 2016
Another epic OutdoorFest NYC with everything from a headlamp trail run to surfing to volunteer activities.
July 2016
Green travel publication offMetro joins the OutdoorFest family, becoming a place to share great itineraries and stories of adventures sans car.
October 2016
The Mappy Hour Community Hub launches with a brand new way to connect with your fellow outdoor enthusiasts both within your own city and in other cities with Mappy Hour hubs and we got a shout out in Outside Magazine.
As we head into 2017 we plan on continuing to build this amazing group of outdoor enthusiasts and support the outdoors we get to enjoy.
